| Faneuil Hall was built in 1742 as a meeting house for the townspeople. Paul Revere attended many protest meetings here, like the one against the the Sugar Act in 1764 and first Tea Party meeting in 1773. Today the hall is still used for public speaking. It has been rebuilt or remodeled several times. It is much larger today than in Paul Revere's time. |
